What is Net Promoter Score (NPS) in Mobile Apps

Net Promoter Score (NPS) is a metric used to gauge customer satisfaction and loyalty by measuring how likely users are to recommend the app to others. It is typically obtained through user surveys that ask respondents to rate their likelihood of recommending the app on a scale from 0 to 10. Scores of 9 or 10 are considered promoters, scores of 7 and 8 are passives, and scores below 7 are detractors. NPS is calculated by subtracting the percentage of detractors from the percentage of promoters. A high NPS indicates strong user loyalty and satisfaction, which can be pivotal for app growth and success.
